Japanese sticky rice is often thought of as what is in sushi, and it is, but there are so many more uses. It works well as a quick snack if you make it into onigiri, and add flavors such as umeboshi on the inside. It goes along Japanese curry, making it easy to eat. It is an extremely versatile rice, as most rices are. My family almost always has some made, for all in the house to use. Even for lunch today I had plain sticky rice since I was low on time, but needed some substance.
